Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland has financial guidelines and investment criteria. The Kinderpostzegels’s income and expenditure in the period 1 October 2007 to 30 September 2008 was € 10,530,909. Mainly coming from sales of children’s stamps and cards, private individuals and foundations, financial returns and the government and the Sponsor Lottery.

The amount available for projects was € 8,481,506. 39% of this went to projects in the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba, 46% to projects in third world countries and 15% to projects in Eastern Europe.
