Children's Stamps and Madurodam Children's Fund invite children to a film with Dylan Haegens
The film "Superpowers for Your Mind" had its special children's preview on Saturday, June 29th, to a packed house at Madurodam. Kinderpostzegels (Children's Stamps) and the Madurodam Children's Fund invited 150 children from the South Holland region who, for whatever reason, deserve a fun day out. The film "Superpowers for Your Mind" teaches children how to better manage their emotions and difficult situations. Dylan Haegens, YouTuber, director of the film, and one of the main actors, was present along with screenwriter Marit Haegens-Brugman to introduce the film.
"Superpowers for Your Head" is about Lev (Finn Vogels), a huge fan of the superhero Healix, who defeats supervillain Snotman (Dylan Haegens) in the most spectacular ways. In Lev's dreams and while gaming, he can do anything, but in real life, he struggles to walk. Together with his daredevil grandmother, he sets out on an adventure to meet the real Healix and show the world his superpowers. Besides Dylan and Finn, the film also stars Elise Schaap, Bas Hoeflaak, and Jeroen Spitzenberger.
Children's stamps
The film's message perfectly aligns with the Kinderpostzegels mission: strengthening children's resilience. Resilience is a superpower in your mind and heart that helps you cope with difficult situations. Kinderpostzegels supports children who face poverty, loneliness, or problems at home, and therefore lack a solid foundation for resilience.
Madurodam Children's Fund
The Madurodam Children's Fund Foundation, Madurodam's charitable foundation, provided financial support for the film "Superpowers for Your Head." Since its inception, the fund has donated €600,000 annually to projects and (in-house) activities that inspire and motivate children and young people to connect with others, become active, and do something for others, thus making society a little more beautiful.
"Superpowers for Your Head" will be released in Dutch and Belgian cinemas on July 10th by Splendid Film. The film is produced by Newbe in collaboration with Haegens Media and based on the bestseller "Superpowers for Your Head" by Wouter de Jong, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Marit Haegens-Brugman. Dylan Haegens is directing.
