Together with KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds, we provided a fantastic afternoon for about 250 children on Wednesday, October 16th. This time we were at Playing for Success Eindhoven in the Philips Stadium. Under the motto 'Hunting for your superpower', we playfully showed children who are in or are at risk of social isolation that they are not alone.
The day was opened by Mike Weerts and football freestyler Bailey de Regt gave a cool demonstration. After that, the children worked in groups on all kinds of assignments where they learned to discover their own superpowers. From gaming to somersaults and from crafting to playing football.
They could also take powerful (super) photos in the Hallmark photobooth and finally, we surprised the children with a performance by Alessio de Martino.
Below is a short photo report.

Rolling out Superpower Days more widely
The Superpower Days are part of the strategic partnership that the KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds and Kinderpostzegels have entered into. Driven by the shared mission 'connecting together', we will work over the next three years to help children who are in or are at risk of social isolation.
Loneliness: a growing problem
Loneliness is a growing problem among children and young people. It is often linked to poverty or a difficult home situation.
- 230,000 children in the Netherlands grow up in poverty.
- 1 in 4 children has a parent with an addiction or psychological problems.
- 1 in 8 children receives youth care.
Many of these children are completely alone. They struggle at school, their world becomes smaller and smaller, and they become isolated. Their lives lack a good foundation for resilience.
