Thousands of children spend a large part of their childhood in asylum reception centers (azc’s), often without certainty about their future. Like any other child, they have the right to safety, education, care, and the freedom to play and develop. Since 2010, the "Child in AZC Working Group" has been committed to the rights of these children in the Netherlands. Together, we strive for child-friendly asylum reception that is in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the EU Reception Conditions Directive. By focusing on concrete children's rights, we build a stable and safe environment where every child can feel at home and develop, regardless of background.
