Five inspirational sessions

1. Visie op veerkracht
Loes Keijsers | Levi van Dam | Ibrahima Giroux
Coming from different fields of research and different contexts, these three experts will share their views on the necessary conditions for young people to foster resilience. What should civil society facilitate for young people and what should it not? What narratives are helpful in supporting children's mental wellbeing? And how can civil society and NGOs work together with researchers to face challenges in this regard?
In a lively discussion, we will explore these and other questions and look at the important role of the community in building resilience.

2. Informele steun aan kinderen en hun omgeving
Wiebe van Steenis
Every child has the basic need to feel seen and heard. But sometimes that basic need isn't met at home. That's why it's so valuable to have more people supporting a child than just their own family.
Led by Kinderpostzegels, an alliance of organizations has been formed to provide informal support for children and families. In many cases, someone who provides positive attention and cares for you is exactly what a child needs.
In this session, you will learn more about the alliance, and Wiebe will interactively explore how you can promote the use of informal support in your daily work.

3. Kinderparticipatie: wat zou jij doen met een half miljoen?
Esther de Boer | Carole Struch
Last year we asked this question to children in the Netherlands and abroad, in special and regular primary education.
Curious how we did it? In this inspirational session, you'll learn about this unique form of child participation. You'll learn about the methodology and working methods of the Kinderportemonnee (Children's Wallet). You'll see which problems children consider important and work on formulating solutions.

Maximum number of participants: 25 per session

4. Working together for a resilient future
Suzanne Leclaire-Noteborn
In this inspirational session, we'll conduct research. The group will work on a future question, drawing on their own wisdom, imagination, and curiosity. We'll conduct research in a way that requires head, heart, and hands. This will introduce you to an approach that requires more than just logic.
Suzanne will guide you through a method that centers on dialogue, a method she also applies to complex issues faced by organizations in both the public and private sectors. "Because it's not the answer, but the question that will teach us," says Suzanne. All you need to bring is your curiosity.
It's like we've been on a journey of discovery. And together we've discovered new insights through sharing experiences.

5. Ervaar je veerkracht
Marian van Teeffelen | Sophie Schouwenaar
Bad experiences and traumatic events are part of life. Everyone experiences them. To cope with them, you need resilience. Resilience is a quality that everyone can develop. But how do you do that, and what do you need?
Together with its partners, Kinderpostzegels has developed the Resilience Toolkit. This tool is used worldwide to strengthen children's resilience.
In this inspirational session, you'll learn how to strengthen your own resilience using the Toolkit. By experiencing it yourself, you'll be better equipped to help others build theirs.
