The Alliance for Informal Youth & Family Support is a broad network of initiatives/organizations that offer organized informal support to children and their families. Members share knowledge, experience, and information, collaborate, and act as each other's ambassadors. The Alliance is a spokesperson, representative, policy influencer, and provides an overview of the various forms of (un)organized informal support. The shared ambition: every child and every parent/caregiver grows up with appropriate, self-chosen informal support in their immediate environment.

The alliance has grown to 41 members by October 2025, and both politicians and civil servants have found their way to the alliance.
Our role
Kinderpostzegels is the founder and driving force behind this alliance. The alliance plays an indispensable role in the direct support needed by children growing up in vulnerable circumstances. A number of the members had been partners for years, and we observed that they consistently encountered the same problems. The need arose for them to unite. We also recognized the necessity of speaking with one voice within the social domain to politicians and the government.
