Being bullied or excluded, feeling pressured at school, having no one around to support you unconditionally: loneliness is an emotion that deeply affects children. One in ten children struggles with loneliness every day. These children feel less happy and are more likely to experience mental and physical challenges. We won't abandon these children. Together

Every child needs loving attention. Someone who sees and hears you, someone to talk to and do fun things with. So you know you're not alone. This is especially important if you often feel lonely. Together with these partners, we help children find a buddy:

When Sabine's parents divorced at age eight, she wasn't immediately ready to talk to anyone about her feelings. A few years later, she felt the need to. But talking to her family, however loving, was difficult. She also preferred not to share her story at school; it was too vulnerable and personal. She felt like she was alone, even though she knew she wasn't.

The Join Us Foundation offers young people between the ages of 12 and 30, in more than 90 municipalities and online, a safe environment in which they can develop social skills and resilience.
